I think the GPLv3 is an awesome business opportunity. When the GPLv3 is finalized and put in to place, I plan to fork all current projects and keep them GPLv2. All of this code will then become the only code that business enterprises use, because there is absolutely no way a business is going to use GPLv3 code. Since the vast majority of open source code is now maintained and enhanced by paid coders, the GPLv3 code, and the FSF will fade into oblivion, and my forks of all the GPLv2 code will make me the new king of the hill. Excellent!!
I am, of course, just kidding. The real point is that Richard Stallman and the FSF have placed themselves on a path of self destruction. They are committing suicide, and can't be talked out of it, which makes them irrelevant. The community should just ignore them and go about our GPLv2 business. Once GPLv3 is finalized we just fork and move on. The FSF, and their social terrorism, is just a minor blip in software history, just like many fanatics before them.
