Still though you have to admit that Free formats are much more desirable.

Sorry, my posting was mistakable: I don't really care that much about a working swf-player or gnash. Instead I like people, who care about free content, to use free formats in the first place. Yes, I know, people will continue playing with flash and therefore we desperately need a free flash player. But prominent free software advocats should encourage to use free formats, not tell me to use proprietary software (that does not work on my machine anyway).
