Packages for the OpenOffice.org 2.0.4 release candidate 1 are available
for testing; besides many bug fixes and addtional translations you'll find
- support for audio and video files in presentations
- native packages for the amd64 platform, improving the support for
various input methods and database adaptors.
The packages are available for testing by adding the following resource
lines to your /etc/apt/sources.list file:
deb http://people.ubuntu.com/~doko/ubuntu/ edgy/$(ARCH)/
deb http://people.ubuntu.com/~doko/ubuntu/ edgy/all/
Notes for testing the amd64 build: The build can be found in the
packages ending with the -experimental suffix. To install the packages,
remove the existing openoffice.org-core package (and all depending
packages), then install the openoffice.org-experimental package (and
depending on your desktop either openoffice.org-gnome-experimental or
openoffice-org-kde-experimental). A known issue with the native -amd64
build is non-working help, which is fixed for the next set of packages.
Please submit bug reports to malone, referencing the exact version and
platform you did use for testing.
Thanks, Matthias
