Quotes of the week

The road to 2.6.19-rc1 is going to be rough - there's an unusually large amount of work pending, and there is an unusual (although still small) amount of overlap between the subsystem trees which people will need to sort out. Because of this I expect it will take us more than the nominal two weeks to reach -rc1.

And then, of course, the moose were hired. Hence the reason why all of the config scripts were rewritten to avoid pipes: it's hard to hit the vertical bar key with those hoofs... :-)

"Moose"? "Pipes"?

Oh! I get it: you're referring to the Trans-Alaska pipeline and its recent problems. Well, don't worry; there, the issue was corrosion reducing the pipe's thickness and affording less protection from an environment-impacting oil spill. The moose, for their part, have shown themselves to be more than willing to not kick the pipes... not even "hoof-heartedly".
