It's not about the license

The future of NetBSD
Why do people insist on starting yet another BSD v.s. GPL flamewar? This event has nothing to do with software licensing, and everything to do with organizational politics. Charles Hannum doesn't like the current "cabal" that is running the NetBSD Foundation after the "coup that took place in 2000-2001, in which The NetBSD Foundation was taken over by a fraudulent change of the board of directors." He blames this leadership, or lack of leadership, for hindering the progress of needed improvements to technical aspects of NetBSD (e.g. running a mixed 32 bit + 64 bit system).
WTF does this have to do with the GPL?
