Please forgive the fact that we are not native einglish speakers.
During the weekend of December 2nd and 3rd 2006 the T-DOSE event will be
held in the auditorium of the Technical University of Eindhoven, the
Netherlands. The name T-DOSE stands for Technical Dutch Open Sourc[e] Event
and offers a central speakers track, an open source marketplace for the
abundant sharing of information and several developer/community rooms.
We, the organisers, feel that there is room in the Netherlands for an
event primarily focussed on Open Source software and their communities.
In Belgium this formula has proves to be very succesfull with their
FOSDEM event. However, the Netherlands so far did not have a real
community driven event. T-DOSE plans to fill taht void.
T-DOSE will offer the following:
-Free admision.
-Many speakers on Linux, FreeBSD and other Open Source software
projects.
-Many booths with info regarding Linux, FreeBSD and other Open Source
software projects.
- community/developer rooms
Based on the number of visitors so similar events we estimate some 2000
people to visit the T-DOSE event.
Because of the travel costs of several international speakers we hope
that visitors will sponsor the event by purchasing our unique T-shirt
(25 euro). However, this is NOT mandatory!
The event is being organised by the T-DOSE foundation with in its core
amongs others:
-Jeroen Baten, known in the Netherlands for his promotional work
regarding Open Source software and author of 7 Linux related books. Also
board member of the Dutch Society on Open Source (VOSN) and the Open
Source Business Club (OSBC)
-Jean-Paul Saman, well known as a VLC contributor and embedded Linux,
multimedia and streaming expert.
Those interested in visiting are invited to go to www.t-dose.org, klick
in the menu on 'registration' and subscribe to our announce
mailingslist. This way we can anticipate on the number of potential
visitors.
