William Harold Newman has announced SBCL 0.9.16 on 25 August 2006.
This version provides performance optimizations, better introspection
and debugging support, several bug fixes, and more.

SBCL (Steel Bank Common Lisp) is a Common Lisp implementation based on
the CMUCL (CMU Common Lisp) sources, but it puts a greater emphasis on
maintainability.  SBCL runs under Linux, MacOS X (Darwin on PowerPC
and x86), xBSD and Tru64 on x86/x86-64, Windows, Alpha, AMD64, MIPS,
PPC and SPARC CPUs.
