Ross Anderson's Security Engineering book downloadable

Ross Anderson's well regarded book Security Engineering is now available online. From Bruce Schneier's introduction:

Security engineering is different from any other kind of programming. It's a point I made over and over again: in my own book, Secrets and Lies, in my monthly newsletter Crypto-Gram, and in my other writings. And it's a point Ross makes in every chapter of this book. This is why, if you're doing any security engineering ... if you're even thinking of doing any security engineering, you need to read this book. It's the first, and only, end-to-end modern security design and engineering book ever written.

I do like this book. If you are serious about security engineering, it is well worth it to buy the dead tree version. PDFs are great for grepping and looking up short sections, but the dead tree version is better for serious reading and thinking and curling-up-with.

Yup. While I have access to a bunch of books online, e.g., O'Reilly books, I almost always buy a dead tree copy if I do anything serious. You can't really add comments in a PDF file, and printing the PDfs isn't really going to save any money.
Tech book publishers seem to start to get that making books available online is a good thing.

Excellent book! Probably the only *textbook* that I've read cover-to-cover (oh, OK, I skimmed over the maths in the crypto chapter!).

Could anyone point me to more high quality tech books like this that are available in PS, PDF, or HTML format?
I have regular chunks of commute time and a Nokia 770 that's decent for reading electronic texts.

Thanks, this is great! I found several good books that I've copied onto to my Nokia 770.
