The description of Postfix as having a "single control file" (presumably
main.cf) seems to forget about master.cf. It generally doesn't need as
much attention as main.cf, but it's there.

Of course there may also be other files for various tables or database
access parameters, but that's also true for sendmail, the classic "single
control file" MTA.
