No, in this case a binary cannot be considered a collection of "stories",
because no code in the resulting binary comes from the Makefile.
You are confusing this with two incompatibly licensed libraries, where
the result is that the binary cannot be redistributed.
Note that it would be different if Schilling would have removed Makefiles
from source he does not own copyrights to (this is where the GPL kicks
in), but as far as I read this has not been the case.
