This is a really excellent change. One can then use the GPLv3 for books without having to bundle a CD with each copy or providing CDs by mail order. A moderate nit: The three years may be too long these days. Some licenses use a shorter term like one year (the GFDL). But no matter what the term, this option is welcome!
