Kernel prepatch 2.6.18-rc1

Linus has announced the closing of the 2.6.18 merge window and the availability of 2.6.18-rc1. The list of changes is huge; it includes a number of new drivers, a new core time subsystem, some new TCP congestion control algorithms, the swapless page migration patches, most of the massive serial ATA patch set, priority-inheriting futexes, SMPnice, the generic IRQ layer, 64-bit resources, the kernel lock validator, and much more. A more complete list will appear in this week's Kernel Page (due within a few hours). Linus did not include a short-form changelog, so here's a version obtained from git; the long-form changelog can be consulted for all the details.

Isn't 2.6.18 supposed to be a major bug fix release?
