POTW: TSLC (Tcl Scripting Language Components) for Delphi seamlessly
integrates Tcl and Delphi code.

No, *really*: are you sure can Tcl be used in serious programs?
Todd Coram thinks so, but that's just because he's been providing
three million e-mail forwards monthly for Verizon, with no memory
leaks, around the clock, updated "hot" to meet changing requirements
    (including spam invasions).

Bryan Oakley sketches a wicked hack for disconnecting an
    in-process GUI from user action.

    and friends.

Quite a few comp.lang.tcl threads have to do with special keys,
window managers, and various interactions. It's difficult to
categorize all the information. One example has to do with KDE's
    WM_SAVE_YOURSELF handling.

Thanks to Arjen Markus for his Wiki-watching:
The dark days surrounding the end of the year on the Northern Hemisphere
and the summer holidays on the Southern one made this last week fairly
quiet. Nevertheless, there are at least a couple of pages worth exploring:
    - Gradient colouring on the canvas: George Stapleton shows it is possible
      and even attractive, <http://wiki.tcl.tk/6100>

    - A short introduction to the "interpreted scientific programming language"
      Yorick appears at <http://wiki.tcl.tk/4497>

    - Michael Cleverly shows a simple connection between Tk widgets and a DOM
      tree using Snit, <http://wiki.tcl.tk/6104>

    - The relation between the [break] command and widget bindings is an
      intricate one, as <http://wiki.tcl.tk/6101> explains.

    - I bashfully add one of mine: <http://wiki.tcl.tk/6119> introduces a
new category of Wiki pages, dedicated to educational software and
      hopes to contribute to that.

Everything you want is probably one or two clicks away in these pages:

The "Welcome to comp.lang.tcl" message by Andreas Kupries
        http://www.purl.org/net/tcl-welcome

Larry Virden maintains a comp.lang.tcl FAQ launcher

Brent Welch maintains "The Tcl Developer Xchange", a highly
organized resource center of documents and software with
provisions for individuals to "set up a link to your software
and update ... as you release new versions."

The Xchange sponsor also keeps info to convince your boss Tcl

Previous - (U)se the (R)esource, (L)uke! - messages are listed here:
  http://purl.org/thecliff/tcl/url.html
--in principal. In spring 2001, though,
  http://www.ddj.com/topics/tclurl/
  http://tcl.activestate.com:8004/tclurl/
are more consistently up-to-date. A fourth possibility is

Suggestions/corrections for next week's posting are always welcome.
