|| ||[CodeWeavers-Announce] Announcing CrossOver Office Server Edition
5.0.3 and CrossOver Office Professional version 5.0.3|
|| ||Thu, 22 Jun 2006 16:31:02 -0500|
I am very glad to announce the release of version 5.0.3 of our Server Edition product,
the first release of Server Edition at the 5.X level.
This version will bring all of the CrossOver 5.0 features, including support
for Office 2003 and the ability to manage virtual Windows environments
(aka Bottles), to the Solaris and Linux thin client environments.
We're also lowering the price on the Server Edition product to $295 per server;
licensing for end users remains the same as licensing for CrossOver Office Professional.
We are simultaneously releasing a bug fix version of CrossOver Office
Professional, version 5.0.3. This should fix some issues with changes
made in Fedora Core 5 that broke CrossOver.
There are also a pretty wide range of nice minor fixes as well; iTunes
should work again, for example. There are some minor adjustments to
make it easier to distribute RPMs; support for menus on very new versions
of KDE (e.g. SuSE 10.1), and other minor details. A complete list of changes
