Preparations for Ubuntu summit
"For VOIP, we're going to be using TeamSpeak[...]is not free software. We couldn't find any free software that met the requirements we had for this conference in the timescales we had to work with."
I almost spilled my coffee here. What? Few areas are so dominated by free software as voip is. What is it they want to do?
Just a simple conference could be set up with Asterisk in seconds, and people can call in with any client. I think Ubuntu includes Ekiga, which also happens to run some public servers with conferencing (a quick google search found this).
I'm sure there are tons of other similar applications around.
