CentOS is not the only rebuilt of RHEL completely free; another real important one is Scientific Linux, named after being developed at Fermi National Lab and Cern. It also has a lot of extra features (AFS, XFS file system, apt-get), a live version (which came shortly before CentOS Live-CD) and a quality team: the do not simply rebuilt the sources from Red Hat, they test it on their system.
