Red Hat has launched a site called Mugshot; it is the company's attempt to get into the "social networking" sphere. It's invitation-only for now. Mugshot is said to be an entirely open source project, but the "download" link is currently missing. There is a FAQ and a developer site with a bit more information.

Hmm, we would not really consider it "social networking" - I started to write a comment then decided it was kind of long and a FAQ too so put it in blog form: http://blog.mugshot.org/?p=149
Anyone is welcome to consider it social networking if they like, but hopefully the above post at least clarifies what sort of social networking it is, if we must be called that...

However it's 100% entirely useless without the server side, so you either have to have an invitation to our server, or you have to get a copy of the server running locally as documented here: http://developer.mugshot.org/wiki/Server_Development_Setup
That's why the only link on the Wiki is to the subversion repo. If you get an invite then part of the signup process would give you http://download.mugshot.org/client/, and if you don't have an invite there's really no point in downloading that stuff.
