its third quarter results. The bottom line is a $300,000 profit -
without excluding various losses this time.

Wow, it really _is_ possible to make a profit from a "broken" business model! Does this mean the recession is over?

It's not exactly a stunning profit (yet), but Red Hat's business model is very sound. Large corporate customers want Linux but don't have the confidence / knowledge / time to maintain it themselves. Red Hat offers knowledgable people who go into these large clients and deploy, support and develop Linux solutions. Clients are happy because they still save money and are freed from the clutches of an agressive monopoly. Red Hat makes money. Seems sound to me.
