Solsoft Announces NetFilterOne 1.2 Upgrade for Netfilter Firewall Management

Mountain View, Calif. – April 17, 2006 – Solsoft Inc., the leading provider

NetfilterOne 1.2, a graphical interface that will automate the design,
deployment and documentation of security rules and policies as they pertain
to a networked netfilter firewall.  

The ‘‘Tabular Policy Editor’’, now available for NetfilterOne 1.2

The new version benefits end users with its new tool, the Tabular Policy
Editor, a feature that can manage all permissions in a single view. The
feature is adopted from the company’s flagship Policy Server 7.2 and its
Firewall Manager 1.2.
Tabular Policy Editor gives customers additional flexibility through choice
of workflow and gives the ability to sort and filter multiple permission
attributes when troubleshooting or looking to make changes to permissions
within a policy.

The ‘‘bridge mode’’: The new feature specific to NetfilterOne 1.2

The new specific feature of NetfilterOne 1.2 is the "bridge mode'', which is
also called the "transparent mode'' by other vendors.

Linux Netfilter Iptables version 1.3 is now supported.
