IndiaBulls is a financial services firm, especially in equity and derivatives. They have a online stock trading platform and they have recently gone public.

IDBI is Infrastructure development bank of India which has now forayed into consumer banking as well. They have been known for utilising IT to provide most user-friendly interface to the banking consumers.

Good news, but I would like to see more laptop manufacturers supporting pre-installed linux rather than treating it as a cheap option to reduce costs, assuming that the customer will install a pirated version of windows anyway.

Hey, at least you can buy a name-brand laptop without windows in India. It's basically impossible in the US.

Besides, I like to choose my linux distro anyway, and I don't trust the manufacturer to configure things the way I want.

You can find laptops without a Microsoft tax from HP (their business
notebooks) and ASUS (their whitebooks, various resellers); these qualify
as "brand-name". You can also get laptops with Linux (and without paying
for Windows) from Linux Certified, Los Alamos Computers, or PCs for
Everyone, and get laptops without Windows from MSI and probably other
ODMs. Apparently you used to be able to get such laptops from IBM, but no
longer.

(In all these cases the laptops are actually cheaper without Windows, at
least when you compare to other customizable models.)
