Adobe hacking case goes to the jury (News.com)

Here's a News.com article about the end of testimony in the ElcomSoft trial. "Earlier in the trial, ElcomSoft had sought to enter evidence of the benign uses of the software, such as to allow visually impaired readers to transfer Adobe eBooks to reading devices for the blind. Judge Ronald Whyte refused to allow that line of defense, however, leaving the company few arguments to protest its innocence."

More power to Judge Whyte.

Demonstrable legal uses for a product have always been a valid defense,
and if he chooses to go with the flow he's going with, he guarantees that
the case will get bucked up to an appellate court.

Which is what we want.

Why is a Russian Citizen working in Russia for a Russian corporation held to comply with Foreign Laws?
What if Saudi-Arabia starts holding US citizens liable for breaking the laws of Islam?

This is insane.
