i do intend to donate some amount for openssh development, but i would also suggest that the team consider options for keeping these projects going. for example, get a day job with a company that understands the value of openssh, even better if they depend on it. get them to fund half-time development. i am sure google, yahoo, ibm, redhat, etc etc would be willing to work out some arrangement. i know at yahoo, for example, some people spend time contributing back to freebsd. i can't imagine that openssh requires full-time 9-5 development every day.
