What problem exactly does this solve? I'm trusted to not run the user space daemon for foreign areas (I suppose this daemon will be available for download from Intel?), but somehow I'm not trusted with running a free user space daemon as there is a risk I might patch and recompile. I think for most users running the wrong daemon is the simpler step.
