Then we could convince corporate managers that it's the coming thing, that they'll have to dump their current hardware to use it, and that it has a better interface then the previous version.
We could tell users about all the neat features in the new release, and then come up with a list of features to remove at the last minute.
Of course, we'd have to start using build numbers. That way, we could release "Build xyzzy" as a beta to the "community"...
