removal of non GPL modules

The removal of non-GPL kernel modules from the distribution may lead to
some very interesting problems, on update or installation.

Scenario: a system where the only link to the internet is through
hardware, for which only non-GPL modules exist. This is especially a
problem with modern ISDN- and DSL-cards.

BTW does anybody know of a GPLed driver for an AVM Fritz!DSL SL ?
