ACCESS and PalmSource Announce the ACCESS Linux Platform

ACCESS Co., Ltd., and its wholly owned subsidiary, PalmSource, Inc. have announced
the latest evolution of Palm OS for Linux, the ACCESS Linux Platform,
tailored for smartphones and mobile devices.

Exactly. I wonder if they will follow through and create something actually usable. We've had PDAs from Zaurus and phones from Motorola, but both seemed to use Linux as a free of charge kernel and not build on the community. Plus the actual products were pretty crappy. Palm may have a better track record but I doubt they are brave enough to follow through. We need something more like the Nokia 770!
