I'm not too impressed that SUSE is copying Fedora's "ultra bleeding edge" philosophy. That's what put me off Fedora a while ago. I didn't really want to be running 'CVS' versions of everything....
Really, is it necessary to use a bleeding edge compiler, C library and kernel? That much, at least, should be solid and proven. To decline a beta, near-final version of a desktop environment, but use absurdly bleeding edge core components, just seems inconsistent and unwise.
I've always liked SUSE, but like so many others, I'm drifting towards Ubuntu now.
