Plug n Play Security Blade Appliance

Plug n Play Security Blade Appliance

Developed by OmniCluster Technologies of Boca Raton, Florida (an IBM
spinoff), the SlotShield 1000 and SlotShield 3000 blade servers are
redefining the security appliance market. Both products are the industry's
only plug n play security solutions that are PCI compatible and can be
installed within minutes inside any industry standard server system.

OmniCluster has partnered with Check Point Software Technologies,
developing a security appliance integrating Check Point's market leading
VPN-1®/FireWall-1® Next Generation technology with OmniCluster's SlotShield
appliance blade technology.

The unique aspect of these blade security appliances is that they have zero
impact on the IT infrastructure. In addition, they are the only solution
(that we know of) that can secure servers from inside the server boxes. It
is the ideal solution for securing individual servers. OmniCluster
currently offers three variations in its blade security appliances. They
include:

·	Single-server firewalls
·	High availability firewalls (HAFW) for server "farms
·	Multiple applications for URL, virus screening, email screening, intrusion
detection

OmniCluster's SlotShield Firewall/VPN 3000 utilizes the Intel Pentium III to
redefine high-security within servers, creating the industry's first
PCI-based "Secured by Check Point" offering. Fitting inside the target
machine allows for security profiles customized for the unique requirements
of that specific machine. This security method allows for very tight
control over a specific server's transactions.

The SlotShield 3000's plug-n-play capabilities enable installation as easily
as replacing a server's Network Interface Card. The SlotShield 3000 supports
any server running Windows NT service pack 6, Windows 2000, Windows XP and
Linux kernel 2.2x and 2.4x.
