Jon Hall, president of Linux International, to form UnifiedRoot Advisory
Board

Amsterdam, January 16, 2006 - UnifiedRoot, the company that has created a
new and simplified Internet addressing system for corporate and public
top-level domains (TLDs), has appointed Jon Hall, president of Linux
International, as a founding member of its advisory board. He will assist
UnifiedRoot in the expansion of the advisory board with the specific task of
addressing technical and policy issues.

UnifiedRoot wants to improve the way people use the Internet. Through the
use of top-level domains UnifiedRoot promotes a more intuitive standard of
Internet addressing, for example: products.yourname instead of
http://www.yourname.com/products.

Jon Hall: "As one of the early supporters of the commercial side of the
Linux system, I feel that a more liberalised and standardised approach to
Internet navigation will make the make the Internet easier to use and propel
innovation. UnifiedRoot will be funding freely distributed software that
will benefit the entire Internet, and therefore the entire world. These
applications and services will enable the Internet to more efficiently
accommodate a broadening array of future uses."

Erik Seeboldt, CEO of UnifiedRoot: "The support and involvement of Jon Hall
and the free and open source software (FOSS) community is an important step
toward our goals to develop applications that will allow users to liberate
the true potential of the Internet."

Jon "maddog" Hall is the president of Linux International, the organisation
dedicated to the promotion of the Linux Operating System. Previously, Mr.
Hall worked at such companies as Bell Laboratories and DEC (UNIX Group).
Over his thirty-five year career in computer engineering he has been a
systems engineer, systems programmer, university professor, manager, and
businessman.

UnifiedRoot
UnifiedRoot makes corporate and public top-level domains globally available
for the first time. It provides a simple, direct, logical, and intuitive
Internet addressing system enabling governments, companies, entrepreneurs,
and all other Internet users to enjoy an easier, user-friendly approach to
locating information on the Internet. The UnifiedRoot Foundation has also
been established to support the funding, development, and implementation of
new Internet technologies. UnifiedRoot is based in Amsterdam, The
Netherlands. For more information and registration, please see
