For some, it will be a day of remembrance - a day to reflect upon the
many freedoms we enjoy. These freedoms are not to be taken lightly, nor
taken for granted. Please take a moment to read about a man who had a
dream for freedom: http://nobelprize.org/peace/laureates/1964/press.html

For Fedora Core fans, we celebrate a different sort of freedom. A
freedom of Open Source, and a freedom to enjoy the operating system of
OUR choice, for we are proud to announce:

Fedora Core 5 Test2 Now Available

Re:

GCC 4.1 hasn't been released yet; I hope it's finished by the time FC5 is released, because shipping a development compiler can be confusing.

gcc 4.1

The original target date for shipping 4.1 was Jan. 18, but it's slipped, waiting for several show-stopper bugs to be fixed. It seems almost certain, though, that gcc 4.1 will be out before FC5 ships.

See the latest status report from the release manager.

Please note that Fedora Core 3 has now been transfered the the Fedora Legacy
A fact of which the Fedora Legacy Project seem blissfully unaware.

Those actually following the Fedora Legacy project know they are very much aware of this. Subscribe to the mailing list, it helps.

Fedora Legacy Project == Godfather's Kiss of Death.

Frankly, the Fedora Legacy Project isn't anything which one would want to depend on. Urgent security fix? Check back in six months . . .
