Type: Networking Tool
Depend: KDE 3.4.x
Knmap is a KDE-based interface to the 'nmap'
facility available at
Version 2.0 adds the ability to control multiple
copies of nmap from within the one instance of
The main Knmap window is split in two vertically.
The window on the left is the Index Window - it
displays the (user specified) names of all scans.
The window on the right is the Scan Window - it
displays the details of the "current" scan. The
Scan Window corresponds to the main window in
Version 1.0 of Knmap.
As a lot of code has been added and a lot of
existing code has been pushed and pulled to
various other locations, it is highly likely that
there more than a few bugs in this Beta release.
Version 1.0 was a complete re-write of a program
by the same name written by Alexandre Sagala. The
last version of that program was 0.9 which was
released on 2003-03-09 and targeted the KDE 2.2
and QT 2.3 environments. Unfortunately it does not
compile on today's KDE / QT environments.
* Minor syntax changes
* No major changes since 2.0-beta-1
* Added support for multiple concurrent scans
* Added support for the "-6" and "-A' nmap options
* Changes to the docbook documentation for the
and "-A" option support and other small changes.
* This is a completely new program!
There was a prior Knmap - the last version was
but that version does not compile under the
Qt / KDE environments.
