Why would "most sites" still be running Bind 8?Why would "most sites" still be running Bind 8?Posted Jun 5, 2002 16:54 UTC (Wed) by backtick (guest, #364)Parent article: CERT advisory: DOS vulnerability in BIND 9 There are other issues w/ Bind 8, which makes the servers vulnerable to other problems (yes, I know, if you keep your Bind 8 server current it's just as secure as Bind 9, but if you go to that trouble, why wouldn't you upgrade to Bind 9?). I'm wondering what the ration of upgraded VS non-upgraded servers is?
