Why you say that? Bad experiances?
Xen 3.0 has been aviable for quite some time now as beta software. It's a fully open source development model and the source code is aviable from cvs (or whatever they use). I even tried running Xen 3.0 a couple months ago, but decided to go with the 'production' version that worked with Debian Stable better (previous version of Xen (2.8 I beleive) didn't compile with 4.x series GCC stuff, which is what happenned when I tried to use it with Debian unstable).
I suppose that could of been 'alpha' and this is the 'beta', but I assumed initially that this Xen 3.0 version was the 1.0 release (so to say) so that the next bunch of Linux distros could get it working well with their next stuff. (like Fedora Core 5 and such).
