I think they should start by kicking Userlinux out of the thing.
All Mister Perens has accomplished with that distribution was stealing a lot of people a lot of time and now he is not man enough to take down the website and acknowlage his failure. No, we wants to be a member of the DCC. Woohoo!
The DCC does not need distributions with no users and no product and no traffic on its mailling lists.
Just my 0.02 euro

If there are no users and no traffic on the mailing lists, how is he stealing people's time?
Less emotion would be nice. He started a project, it didn't take off, he hasn't formally called it
quits. What's the big deal? Why are you so bitter?

I am not bitter. I just think it is unwise for the DCC to have lame (dead) ducks like Userlinux in its ranks.
Would you vote for a party where you know that "leading" members are incapable and have not produced any result, but still claim things like:
"The UserLinux project provides businesses with freely available, high quality Linux operating systems accompanied by certifications, service, and support options designed to encourage productivity and security while reducing overall costs."
( Cut and paste form the dcc website )

You sound pretty bitter. Don't be so sure it's dead yet. I might surprise you.

Including dead projects is bound to happen in the sort of informal, open community we have. It's
not a big deal.
And if Mr. Perens says he's still working on it, who are you to say otherwise?

The website www.userlinux.com looks down to me. That at least acknowledges their failure to keep the website up :)
