It would be better if comments made here do not assume everyone considers President means President of United States.. True, but since no one in this thread has made that assumption, except possibly you, I can't imagine why you're bringing it up. The phrase "Stallman for President!" isn't even a serious recommendation of Stallman to any particular presidency; it's just a metaphorical expression of the belief that he would be a good leader of society. Maybe that expression isn't known in places where people don't elect a "President," but it shouldn't be very hard to figure out.
