Not just 1.4.5, but future releases too.

Of more interest to your readers, perhaps, is the next part of the announcement:

"While Lustre has always been available to customers under an open source license, CFS announces that future versions will be released to customers and the general public simultaneously. Community users will no longer need to wait for access to the newest open source Lustre software."

I know that our old policy annoyed some people, and while I still feel it was necessary, we're past that point now. Now that CFS is well-established, we no longer feel the need to delay our releases to the open source community.

I hope you find Lustre useful, and we value your feedback. If you need some help from the existing user community, try lustre-discuss@lists.clusterfs.com
