The r300 project is making progress still, so one-generation-old ATI has a reasonable chance.
Intel's 3D graphics are all open as well, and although it's still not quite good enough for games, each generation is making a big step forward and the latest ones seem to be ALMOST there. Fwiw: intel has about a 50% market share in the graphics market. (if you include the onboard video; of course they don't if you only count the add-on cards)
