The FSF GPL Compliance Lab and the Open Source Initiative

Sounds to me like some of the Lab's functions are similar to
parts of the Open Source Initiative. Note that the Compliance Lab
is (a) older, (b) more tightly focused on the GPL, and
(c) deliberately publicity-averse.

Both organizations appear to be quite useful.
The OSI is the noisy newcomer, and the FSFGPLCL (tee hee hee)
is the patient back-room operator. It's a bit like carrot
and stick (imperfect analogy, I know...)

I wish both organizations well.
