SAN ANTONIO - May 28, 2002 - Rackspace Managed Hosting, a leading provider of
managed hosting services, today announced HostwareTM, a comprehensive
automation system that enables virtual hosters and other hosting resellers to
launch and manage all aspects of their business. Rackspace has partnered
with Positive Software Corporation to roll out an advanced hosting automation
software that leverages Rackspace's hosting platform and end user support.
Hostware is an all-inclusive control panel, billing system and customer
support team for automating day-to-day Web hosting tasks. It provides
virtual hosters with a simple, yet powerful, GUI interface that manages all
aspects of a server, in addition to a seamless billing process. Hostware
enables customized pricing and email invoicing, billing and recording
customer accounts in real-time. In addition, Hostware includes an option for
ticket resolution for all end user support requests, allowing even one man
hosting companies to support unlimited domains.

SupportTM, will also offer support to Hostware users and their customers.
Built-in messaging and ticketing systems allows issues to be resolved quickly
and easily. In addition, Rackspace offers customized consulting and training

Customer response to Hostware has been positive, prompting several virtual
hosters to switch from competing automated hosting systems to Rackspace's
comprehensive offering.
