What the Flock? it's a new kind of browser (Linux-Watch)

Linux-Watch
mentions the new
Flock browser project.
"Here we go again. Another ground-breaking IT development coming from the general vicinity of Stanford University -- and it's being built in a garage, just like HP was.
This one is a new open source browser called Flock. It's built on the Mozilla Gecko HTML rendering engine, like Firefox. However, Flock's intended user market isn't just anybody -- it's designed for bloggers."

Looks like a new kind of vapourware to me. Let's report on things that actually exist and people can either buy, use, or download not someone's "coming soon" web site. Anyone can make one of those.

The boom times are definitely back! I remember the late 1990's when there
were a lot of sites that made me think, "but what *is* it?".

I'm running it in Suse 10 now, so it's not exactly vaporware. It installed quite easily. It's like Firefox but has cool link features and unless I'm deluding myself (which is also possible), it's faster than Firefox.
