for download from

Changes in GNOME-Aplets 2.12.0

"Gilded Stars and Zealous Hearts"

This is the official GNOME 2.12 release of the gnome-applets package.

Significant changes in this release as compared with the last stable
release
include a totally revamped stickynotes user interaction model, a switch
to
gnome-doc-utils for the user manuals (for improved translations), fast
location searching in the weather applet and a new smaller battery
capacity
indicator for the battery applet.  There have also been many bug fixes,
small enhancements and portability fixes throughout.

Support for obtaining battery capacity information through the
freedesktop
HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) has also been added.  If you encounter
any
problems with the battery applet as compared to previous versions,
please
ensure that you are using the latest version of HAL.  If the problem
persists please let us know about it at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/.
