FreeBSD 6.0 to target wireless devices (News.com)

News.com looks at FreeBSD 6.0. "FreeBSD developer Scott Long said on Thursday that the next version of the open-source BSD-based operating system, planned for release in September, includes support for "a lot more" wireless cards and for wireless security standards such as the Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA)."

I wonder if this is because of OpenBSD's fight.........no props were given.....

Well not quite, the OpenBSD people consider the wireless drivers included in FreeBSD "not free" as only the APIs are open and not the entire source code.
And their activism has had no effect (at least till now)
