Hi,
My name is Michael P. Angelo. I wanted to inform
you of a 'educational' yet fully functional Linux
distribution that I have recently developed. The
unique thing about this distribution is that it is
created by the user (courtesy of a complete and easy
to understand how-to), on virtually any platform that
Linux is compatible with. The user can create their
own specialized distribution to run from floppy, CD,
or in an embedded system. Unlike other CD based
distributions, Eagle Linux uses no file compression
making it much easier to develop. The how-to covers
everything needed to develop a personal distribution
using only free GPL software. Eagle Linux has been
tested in a university setting in both computer
science and electrical engineering programs. Please
visit
http://www.geocities.com/eaglelinux
to view the freely available how-to(s) and news about
upcoming versions. Having been a director for
Linuxcare, Inc's educational division, and Vice
President of Lineo, Inc's educational division, I am
keenly aware of the need for a practical and easy to
learn mechanism for learning the Linux distribution
development process. This is a fine tool for just this
purpose. If you have questions about the future
versions of Eagle Linux, feel free to email me at
angelocmp@yahoo.com or eaglelinux@yahoo.com.
-Thanks
