My experience with Mandrake on the server (using the libraries) has not been very positive.

I've maintained a Mandrake server from 9.0 to 10.2. Apart from the many required upgrades due to the one year support policy, I've suffered several upgrade failures. 2 cvs upgrades, many configuration files rewritten (inc. sendmail), services stopped, etc... Each upgrade has required me several hours of work and downtime. In the same time I've got a Debian server that has been running for more than 5 years and upgraded twice fully without any serious issue.

Mandrake is good. On the desktop. I'll stick to Debian when it comes to servers.
