Press Release
USBDUX adds Knoppix and a new 30MHz DAQ to its range
USBDUX has already made a name for itself with high quality Linux based USB
data acquisition devices. The plug-and-play benefits of USB have been
further enhanced with the release of USBDUX's new Knoppix CD. The disc
contains a boot from CD version of the Linux operating system with many data
acquisition tools already installed.
Customers who have enjoyed the unique combination of Linux and USB offered
by USBDUX can now use the system from a windows machine simply by booting
Linux from the CD drive. It is also possible to install the CD on your hard
disk which then turns into a fully operational debian-linux installation.
In addition, USBDUX have now launched their new DUXFast device that is able
to sample data at up to 30MHz on 16 channels via USB 2.0. With this card you
can turn your laptop into a digital oscilloscope.
USBDUX are committed to the open source ethos and have made all software,
firmware and even circuit diagrams available to the open source community
via COMMEDI.
The USB DUX can be seen at http://www.linux-usb-daq.co.uk

Kevin
