We are happy to announce rpath Linux 0.24. Previously called
"Specifix Linux", this is the first release of the Linux distribution
under the new "rpath Linux" name.

The package set included in the ISO images of this release is smaller
than Specifix Linux 0.23. There are packages that are considered
a part of the OS, but not included on the CD. The group-os group
defines the entire set of packages that makes up the OS. group-os
includes group-dist, which defines what goes on the ISO images. Most
of the packages that have been moved from group-dist to group-os are
servers that do not need to be installed on most systems. Others
are less-used packages, or packages that duplicate functionality
provided by other packages.

This release has Conary 0.60.4, eliminating the need for an immediate
conversion after installing the distribution.

conary-gui, cups, dmalloc, emacs, firefox, gaim, gamin, gedit,

o New packages include: conary-web-common (required to run a
    conary repository), evince, and poppler

    am-utils, anaconda, anaconda-images, bind (except bind:lib
for dependencies), devlabel, dhcp, distcc, dovecot, dump,

The firstboot program does not always run the first time you boot
an installed system. If it does not run, you can log in on a text
console as root and run it manually. The bug has been fixed in
the repository and the next version of rpath Linux will have the
fixed firstboot.

Deleting partitions is currently broken in anaconda. This will be
fixed in our next release.
