How to turn off AllowOpenFile?

Parent article: Unexpected features in Acrobat 7

I can turn JS off (Edit Preferences JavaScript), and see the setting in
file $HOME/.adobe/Acrobat/7.0/Preferences/reader_prefs . However (on
Debian sarge) the page where I think I could turn off AllowOpenFile
(Edit Preferences TrustManager) is curiously blank.

Does anyone know how to control AllowOpenFile (and multimedia stuff)?
(Would prefer instructions on how to set/seed reader_prefs or whatever
file, rather than getting the GUI to work...)
