I've downloaded and installed it (over 56k dialup no less), and it's not clear that this is a release candidate. The version reported by Help->About Mozilla Firefox is 1.0.4, and entering about:config in the URI window gives:

app.build_id 2005050920
app.version 1.0.4

So this might be the real FF 1.0.4. This is the tarball you get for linux:

8639778 May 9 23:02 firefox-1.0.4.en-US.linux-i686.installer.tar.gz
You might want to go get it now before the mad rush.

I guess that was a bit of irrational exuberance in the immortal words of Alan Greenspan. I've now got build 2005051021 running on my Linux box and build 2005051104 running on my Mac.

Sends a very positive message

When was the last time Microsoft responded to anything within 24 hours and over a weekend?
Kudos to the Mozilla-Firefox Team!
I hope all the rag mags give as much coverage to the flash-fix as they did pointing out theoretical flaws.
