Whatever you do, don't read the comments after the article. They're full of people who REALLY don't know what they're talking about. :)

Desktop Computing, Served up BSD Style (KDE.News) Posted Apr 27, 2005 8:38 UTC (Wed) by Duncan (guest, #6647) [Link] Well, they say if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anythingat all. So, I'll say that while I read dot.kde's articles, it's a pleasure to be back on LWN, for /both/ the articles and comments. Of the websites with comments I frequent, LWN and kuro5hin.org are about the only two where comments are really worth more than skimming, most of the time. There are occasional exceptions in both directions, of course, but that's the general case. We have something very rare and valuable going on here at LWN, with the comments here. It's something I certainly treasure, as the comments actually add a quite a bit of value to many of the articles, value that couldn't otherwise be had. Duncan
