PIKA Technologies launches industry-first LinuxOnDemand Program for
developers of voice and fax solutions

Ottawa, Canada - April 19, 2005 - In support of the ever-increasing
number of Linux developers, PIKA Technologies announced today a program
that will make available versions of their SDK (API and drivers) that
run on an expanded number of Linux distributions/kernels (distros). The
company's reliable media processing building blocks power groundbreaking
IVR, call center, custom PC/IP PBX, fax and logging solutions designed
by brand name companies around the world. PIKA Technologies leads the
pack with their new LinuxOnDemand Program for developers of voice and
fax solutions.

"The number of developers who favor the Linux OS continues to climb,"
explained Doug Petty, VP Technology and Operations. "Our developer
customers enjoy in-depth technical conversations with our in-house
technical experts, so we tend to receive plenty of data as to what their
needs are and how we can best improve our product offering. To
demonstrate our support of the Linux developer community, we will
deliver a program that will make an expanded number of versions of our
reliable media processing technology readily available."

PIKA Technologies' LinuxOnDemand Program is an industry first. Through
this program, PIKA Technologies will deliver additional Linux distros to
developers in a timely manner under three options: Generally Available
SDK, Unreleased SDK, and Custom SDK.

Generally Available SDK
Support for two to three of the most popular distros, determined through
discussions with its valued global network of developers, will be made
available in each PIKA MonteCarlo SDK release. These distros will be
fully tested, and developers will receive full support at no additional
cost.

Unreleased SDK
A large variety of additional distros that are not included in the
currently released version of the SDK will also be made available to
developers. These distros will be built and regression tested, but will
not undergo the extensive product verification testing that the released
distros are subjected to. Full development API support will be provided;
however, support will not include issues related to the particular
distro version.

Custom SDK
Upon request, full product verification testing and support for a
particular unreleased distro can be provided by PIKA Technologies. The
fee to support a custom distro will be determined based on the
specifications delivered to PIKA Technologies by the developer.

PIKA Technologies will make the new LinuxOnDemand Program available to
developers in June 2005, in conjunction with the next release of the
company's software developer kit (PIKA MonteCarlo SDK, Release 6.3).
